As Managing Counsel and founding member of SongWood Law, attorney Nathaniel Bank (“Nate”) brings over 15 years of professional experience in management and legal roles across diverse companies ranging from Fortune 500 and publicly-traded, to VC-backed and founder-led startups.  Nate is passionate about contributing to clients’ success with business-friendly solutions that help support efficient operations and growth.  

Having served as lead in-house attorney at three separate companies, Nate brings a wealth of experience advising executives with respect to both strategic planning and day-to-day operational issues.  Nate has focused on developing expertise in technology integrations (SaaS and AI-based offerings, in particular), strengthening corporate foundations, optimizing contracting processes, and managing specialty counsel engagements. 

In his free time, Nate enjoys playing amateur woodsman and spending time in nature, reflecting on its beauty and complexity, which provided the inspiration for the SongWood firm name and logo.  Residing in the South Wedge neighborhood of downtown Rochester, NY with his amazing wife and two rambunctious kids, you can often find them out at community events enjoying the creative energy of a historic city working to find its new identity.
